The form that starts a Queensland CTP claim. It goes to the CTP insurer of the vehicle at fault within a strict timeframe.
In Queensland a motor accident claim is started by serving a notice of accident claim form on the CTP insurer, with a medical certificate. The insurer must respond on whether the notice complies and, later, on liability. The timeframes for serving the notice are set by the legislation, and a late notice needs a reasonable excuse.
This definition is specific to Queensland. The same term can work differently in another state, and the glossary marks each entry accordingly.
