Interlocutory application

All statesGoing to court

An application to the court for an order about the conduct of the case before trial, rather than a decision on the claim itself.

Interlocutory applications deal with matters such as disclosure of documents, extensions of time, or orders that a party attend a medical examination. They are decided on affidavit evidence at a short hearing and are part of the ordinary management of a claim that has been filed.
