Good legal advice should be practical, clear and tailored to the person receiving it. My approach is to understand each client's individual circumstances and help them through the legal and insurance process with clarity and confidence.

What I do

I am an Associate at Tae & Partners, based in Sydney. I act for clients in New South Wales workers compensation and public liability matters, as well as TPD insurance claims through superannuation.

I assist clients throughout their claims, from the initial stages and dealings with insurers through to medical assessments, disputes, settlement and, where necessary, litigation.

My focus is on providing practical advice and ensuring clients understand where their matter stands, the options available to them and what comes next.

How I got here

My experience in the legal profession began in Canada before continuing in Australia. Before joining Tae & Partners, I worked in a high volume plaintiff personal injury practice, where I developed extensive practical experience in New South Wales workers compensation and public liability matters.

Having lived and worked across South Korea, Canada and Australia, I have worked with people from a wide range of cultural and professional backgrounds. These experiences have shaped the way I communicate and approach client relationships.

I completed my Juris Doctor at UNSW and was admitted as a lawyer of the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2026.

Values

I believe clients should understand not only what is happening in their matter, but why. Legal and insurance matters can involve unfamiliar terminology and complex processes, and clear communication is an important part of good legal representation.

Clear communication also means recognising that every client is different. I adapt the way I communicate to each client’s circumstances, background and familiarity with the legal process, explaining complex issues in an accessible way without losing the legal detail that matters.

I aim to be straightforward in my advice, thorough in my work and accessible throughout the process. I speak English and Korean and can assist Korean speaking clients directly.

Outside the office

Outside the office, you will often find me bouldering, exploring somewhere new around Sydney, or planning my next trip.

Having lived in South Korea, Canada and Australia, I enjoy discovering different cultures, languages and good food along the way.
