What I do
I am a Partner at Tae & Partners, where I run superannuation based insurance claims for clients nationally. People generally come to make an insurance claim at a point in their life where their injury or illness precludes them from returning to work, which is why I believe getting them the right result depends as much on trust as it does on legal strategy.
How I got here
I started at a Sydney law firm in 2017 as an administrative assistant, helping the lawyers there run TPD claims. I was responsible for chasing and reviewing medical reports, reassuring clients and learning the shape of a claim file long before I understood the law sitting underneath it. I studied my Bachelor of Laws at Macquarie University. Equity was the subject that stuck.
I was admitted as a lawyer in 2024 and started running my own claims almost immediately. For two years I received outstanding mentorship and was able to confidently advocate for my clients with the knowledge I acquired.
Values
Everyone has a story, and those stories deserve to be heard. I want to make sure that every individual who enquires at Tae & Partners is treated with respect, kindness and understanding. It is not an easy task to share your circumstances with a complete stranger, so it is important for me to make people feel at ease and heard in the very first instance.
At the same time, I also do not believe in selling false hope. If I believe your claim does not have reasonable prospects of success, I will let you know. Getting the best outcome for a client is sometimes about managing what is realistic as much as it is about fighting for entitlements, and I take both halves of that seriously.
Outside the office
When I am not fighting for my clients’ insurance entitlements, I enjoy taking long walks through Centennial Park, working out at the gym, cooking new recipes with my partner, or deluding myself into thinking the New Orleans Saints or the Parramatta Eels have a chance at winning.
